MRTA apologizes for road subsidence, suspected to be caused

The MRTA Governor issued a statement regarding the road collapse and landslide that created a large sinkhole in front of Vajira Hospital. He apologized for the inconvenience caused to the public. He initially suspected the cause was due to soil conditions combined with underground water. He confirmed that the road will be restored to traffic within two weeks.
Today (September 25, 2015), Mr. Kajpajon Udomthammaphakdi, Governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, held a press conference regarding the road collapse in front of Vajira Hospital in Dusit District. He stated that the MRTA apologizes to both patients and users of Vajira Hospital, as well as the public, including those living on Samsen Road and nearby areas where the incident occurred.
